Antique or old wooden doors have always been one of my passions and this particular one is situated in Hamedan, near “Lalejin”, where the most beautiful earthenware pottery and ceramics are produced and exported to Europe and Middle East.The Iranian city of Lalejin and the Italian city of Faenza, both known for their glazed earthenware pottery and ceramics, were named sister cities during a seminar held in Hamedan Province.
What I love about this picture is how the most beautiful and colourful ceramics are fired using very traditional hand made kilns. This trip made me so proud being part of this emazing cultural heritage and I can’t wait to see other part of this beautiful country which I haven’t been back to for almost 26 years. One thing that is very clear for me now is that I will definitely be back again.
